One of the most incredible, yet underestimatedcreatures of the rainforest is the firefly, which use their bioluminescencepowers during twilight hours to attract mates or potential prey. So we decidedto grace the Faqra Street Circus Festival 2014 in Beirut, Lebanon with theirimpressive twilight activities and called it, “Scarabaeus Lucidus”.

This tapeart project was the third in a series of ourartistic creations alongside ONDÉ - a visual artist duo from France, to createa fusion of two urban art styles combining tape art and video mapping.

In this project we worked with with black tapeand brown crepe tape combined with reflecting aluminum tape on a white canvas,to accentuate all the natural beauty a firefly brings to the dark of the night.
