1. The Art Form & Philosophy
How does Tape Art differ from Graffiti and Street Art?
While graffiti often relies on spray cans and permanent paint, Tape Art is a "dry" medium. We use adhesive tapes.
The Advantage: No toxic fumes (odorless), no paint splatters, and no drying time.
The Style: Tape Art is defined by clear lines, geometric abstraction, and a unique tactile quality that makes you want to touch it. Unlike street art, Tape Art is often legal and temporary, though it can also be designed as a permanent installation.
Is Tape Art only for walls?
No. We apply tape to almost anything:
Floors: For wayfinding systems or 3D illusions (Floor Art).
Glass & Windows: Utilizing daylight to create glowing "stained glass" effects.
Vehicles & Objects: Cars, furniture, or entire trade show booths.
Bodies: Our specialty, "Tape On You," brings art directly onto skin or clothing.
How sustainable is Tape Art?
Sustainability is important to us. We primarily use Washi tapes (rice paper-based), which are more biodegradable than classic PVC foils. Additionally, our work generates less chemical waste than painting or lacquering. After an event, the tape can be compacted and disposed of easily.
2. For Clients: Events, Fairs & Live Performance
How does a Tape Art project work?
Transparency is our standard. A typical project with TAPE OVER proceeds in 4 phases:
Briefing & Site Check: We discuss your idea and theme, and check the surface (often via photo).
Sketching (Design): You receive a digital draft showing exactly how the artwork will look on your wall.
Preparation: We often produce parts of the artwork in our studio beforehand ("Pre-Taping") to save time on-site.
Realization: Our team arrives at the event/location to install the work. For live performances, this happens while the audience watches.
What are the technical requirements on site?
Tape Art is "low maintenance." We only need:
Surface: Must be dust-free, dry, and grease-free.
Access: Ladders or cherry pickers for heights above 3 meters.
Lighting: Good illumination is essential for the visual impact.
Only for Tape Mapping: A power source for the projector and a secure position for the equipment.
How long does a live performance take?
We adapt this to your event. A typical Live Tape Art Show lasts between 2 and 8 hours. The audience loves watching the progress ("Visual Storytelling"). Complex murals often require 1–3 days.
How much does a Tape Art artwork cost?
Every project is unique. The price depends on:
Design & Usage Rights.
Size & Complexity (Level of detail) of the surface.
Material & Logistics
Duration (for live performances)

3. Technique & Durability (Deep Dive)
Does the tape hold up outdoors?
Yes. For facades, we use special high-performance foils and facade tapes based on aluminum or fabric. These are UV-resistant, weatherproof, and can last for several years (depending on the surface). Important: We cannot apply tape in the rain (the surface must be dry during installation), but once it sticks, it is rainproof.
Can it really be removed without residue?
In 99% of cases: Yes.
Trade Fairs/Glass: We use tapes that can be peeled off without adhesive residue even after weeks.
Sensitive Wallpaper/Plaster: We test beforehand in an inconspicuous spot. We use special "Low-Tack" tapes for sensitive surfaces.
What exactly is Tape Mapping?
Tape Mapping combines haptic art with digital light. We tape a white or bright artwork onto a surface. A projector then maps animations exactly onto these lines.
The Effect: The static image begins to "dance," lines light up, and depth is created. Perfect for galas, product launches, or music videos.
4. Workshops & Teambuilding
What do we learn in a workshop / tape art session?
Unlike pure methodology training, our focus is on artistic creation.
Content: Material science (Washi vs. Duct Tape), cutting techniques, line work, and perspective thinking.
Result: Every participant takes home their own artwork.
Team Effect: We offer large "Collective Art" pieces where the whole team works together on one huge motif.
Do we need prior knowledge?
No. Our motto is: "Anyone can tape." Unlike drawing (where many fear the "blank page"), tape immediately provides a perfect line. This lowers the barrier to entry and ensures quick feelings of success.
Can you handle large groups?
Yes, we have experience with groups ranging from 10 to several hundred participants (e.g., using a rotation principle at conferences).

1. Die Kunstform & Philosophie
Wie unterscheidet sich Tape Art von Graffiti und Street Art?
Während Graffiti oft mit Sprühdosen und permanenten Farben arbeitet, ist Tape Art ein "trockenes" Medium. Wir nutzen Klebebänder.
Der Vorteil: Es entstehen keine giftigen Dämpfe (geruchsneutral), keine Farbkleckse und keine Trocknungszeiten.
Der Stil: Tape Art besticht durch klare Linien, geometrische Abstraktion und eine einzigartige Haptik, die man anfassen möchte. Im Gegensatz zu Street Art ist Tape Art oft legal und temporär, kann aber auch als dauerhafte Installation konzipiert werden.
Ist Tape Art nur etwas für Wände?
Nein. Wir bekleben fast alles:
Böden: Für Leitsysteme oder 3D-Illusionen (Floor Art).
Glas & Fenster: Nutzt das Tageslicht für leuchtende "Stained Glass" Effekte.
Fahrzeuge & Objekte: Autos, Möbel oder ganze Messestände.
Körper: Unser Spezialgebiet "Tape On You" bringt die Kunst direkt auf die Haut oder Kleidung.
Wie nachhaltig ist Tape Art?
Das Thema ist uns wichtig. Wir nutzen primär Washi-Tapes (auf Reispapier-Basis), die biologisch abbaubarer sind als klassische PVC-Folien. Zudem entsteht bei unserer Arbeit weniger chemischer Abfall als bei Lackierungen. Nach dem Event kann das Tape kompakt entsorgt werden.

Wie läuft ein Tape Art Projekt ab?

Was sind die technischen Voraussetzungen vor Ort?
Tape Art ist "Low Maintenance". Wir brauchen nur:
Untergrund: Er muss staubfrei, trocken und fettfrei sein.
Zugang: Leitern oder Hebebühnen bei großen Höhen (ab 3m).
Licht: Gute Ausleuchtung ist essenziell für die Wirkung.
Nur bei Tape Mapping: Ein Stromanschluss für den Beamer und eine Positionierungsmöglichkeit für den Projektor.
Wie lange dauert eine Live-Performance?
Das passen wir an dein Event an. Eine typische Live Tape Art Show dauert zwischen 2 und 8 Stunden. Das Publikum liebt es, den Fortschritt zu beobachten ("Visual Storytelling"). Für komplexe Murals benötigen wir oft 1–3 Tage.
Was kostet ein Tape Art Kunstwerk?
Jedes Projekt ist ein Unikat. Der Preis setzt sich zusammen aus:
Entwurfsleistung & Nutzungsrechte.
Größe & Komplexität (Detailgrad) der Fläche.
Material & Logistik
Laufzeit (bei Live-Performances)
Tipp: Nenne uns dein Budget, und wir sagen dir, was darin möglich ist (z.B. ein Fokus-Element statt einer vollflächigen Wand).
3. Technik & Haltbarkeit (Deep Dive)
Hält das Tape auch draußen (Outdoor)?
Ja. Für Fassaden nutzen wir spezielle Hochleistungsfolien und Fassaden-Tapes auf Aluminium- oder Gewebebasis. Diese sind UV-beständig, wetterfest und halten (je nach Untergrund) mehrere Jahre. Wichtig: Bei Regen kann nicht geklebt werden (der Untergrund muss bei Installation trocken sein), aber sobald es klebt, ist es regenfest.
Geht das wirklich rückstandslos wieder ab?
In 99% der Fälle: Ja.
Messebau/Glas: Wir nutzen Tapes, die auch nach Wochen ohne Klebereste abgezogen werden können.
Empfindliche Tapeten/Putz: Hier testen wir vorher an einer unauffälligen Stelle. Wir nutzen spezielle "Low-Tack" Tapes für sensible Untergründe.
Was ist Tape Mapping genau?
Tape Mapping verbindet haptische Kunst mit digitalem Licht. Wir kleben ein weißes oder helles Kunstwerk. Ein Beamer projiziert dann exakt auf diese Linien Animationen.
Der Effekt: Das statische Bild fängt an zu "tanzen", Linien leuchten auf, Tiefen entstehen. Perfekt für Galas, Produktlaunches oder Musikvideos.
4. Workshops & Teambuilding
Was lernen wir in einem Workshop / Tape Art Session?
Anders als bei reinen Methodik-Trainings steht bei uns das künstlerische Schaffen im Fokus.
Inhalte: Materialkunde (Washi vs. Duct Tape), Schneidetechniken (Cuttern), Linienführung und perspektivisches Denken.
Ergebnis: Jeder Teilnehmer nimmt am Ende ein eigenes Kunstwerk (auf Platte oder Leinwand) mit nach Hause.
Team-Effekt: Wir bieten große Gemeinschaftsbilder an ("Collective Art"), bei dem das ganze Team an einem riesigen Motiv arbeitet.
Brauchen wir Vorkenntnisse?
Nein. Unser Motto ist: "Jeder kann kleben." Im Gegensatz zum Zeichnen (wo viele Angst vor dem "weißen Blatt" haben) bietet das Tape sofort eine perfekte Linie. Das senkt die Hemmschwelle und sorgt für schnelle Erfolgserlebnisse.
Könnt ihr auch große Gruppen betreuen?
Ja, wir haben Erfahrung mit Gruppen von 10 bis zu mehreren hundert Teilnehmern (z.B. im Rotationsprinzip auf Konferenzen).
