This 4m x 2m piece of tape art titled SHINATOBE was created by LaMia, one of the founders of TAPE OVER. Her artwork was part of a tapeart exhibition in Higashikawa, Japan organized by "mt masking tapes", the makers of the world famous "Washi" tape. LaMia only tape that with this specific masking tape.
Shinatobe is a Japanese mythological goddess of wind, air, and the breath of life. In our interpretation, the birds symbolize the free spirit of Shinatobe. She inspires detachment! Our soul is free like the wind.
