THE IDEA: MOVEMENT IN BLACK AND WHITE
For the renowned Flying Steps Academy in Berlin, we had the opportunity to realize a very special art project. The academy is a place full of energy, rhythm, and dance. As dedicated tape art professionals, we wanted to capture this exact dynamic without resorting to traditional paint or brushes. We analyzed the dancers' fluid movements and taped that kinetic energy directly onto the massive 20-meter canvas to create a stunning mural.
THE DESIGN: FLOATING BLOCKS
Across an impressive 20x2 meter surface, we created the "Floating Blocks" motif. For this purist wall design, we used exclusively black and white adhesive tape (duct tape). The extreme contrast of these two "non-colors" generates incredible visual depth. The blocky, sharp-edged structures of our adhesive tape art literally seem to float across the wall, perfectly reflecting the urban character of hip-hop and breakdance culture.
THE TECHNIQUE: RHYTHM OUT OF TAPE
This massive wall art piece is a strong example of modern wall decoration in a professional environment. The lines and blocks are placed so precisely that they emphasize the architectural space of the academy while simultaneously forming their own pulsating installation. We took the raw, authentic DIY character of indoor street art and tape that vibe straight into the room. This form of urban art seamlessly blends with the discipline and precision required for top-level dancing, inspiring the students every single day.
DIE IDEE: BEWEGUNG IN SCHWARZ-WEISS
Für die renommierte Flying Steps Academy in Berlin durften wir ein ganz besonderes Kunstprojekt umsetzen. Die Academy ist ein Ort voller Energie, Rhythmus und Tanz. Als Tape Art Crew wollten wir genau diese Dynamik einfangen, ohne dabei auf klassische Farbe oder Pinsel zurückzugreifen. Wir entschieden uns für ein 20 Meter langes Wandbild, das die fließenden Bewegungen der Tänzer in abstrakte, geometrische Formen übersetzt.
DAS DESIGN: SCHWEBENDE BLÖCKE
Auf einer beeindruckenden Fläche von 20x2 Metern schufen wir das Motiv "Floating Blocks". Für dieses puristische Wanddesign nutzten wir ausschließlich schwarzes und weißes Klebeband (Duct Tape). Der extreme Kontrast dieser beiden "Nicht-Farben" erzeugt eine unglaubliche visuelle Tiefe. Die blöckchenhaften, scharfkantigen Strukturen der Klebeband Kunst scheinen förmlich über die Wand zu schweben und spiegeln den urbanen Charakter der Hip-Hop- und Breakdance-Kultur perfekt wider.
DIE TECHNIK: RHYTHMUS AUS TAPE
Dieses massive Werk ist ein starkes Beispiel für moderne Wandgestaltung im professionellen Umfeld. Die Linien und Blöcke sind so exakt gesetzt, dass sie den architektonischen Raum der Academy betonen und gleichzeitig eine eigene, pulsierende Installation bilden. Der rohe, authentische DIY-Charakter echter Street Art verbindet sich hier nahtlos mit der Disziplin und Präzision, die auch den Tanzsport auf höchstem Niveau auszeichnen. Diese Form der Urban Art inspiriert die Tänzer täglich aufs Neue.
