Beijing demanded width, and we responded with a 30-meter psychedelic trip. Under the title "Strawberry Fields Forever," we transformed the festival wall into a surreal 70s landscape where reality dissolves.
It is a world illuminated by a stylized retro sun. Into this endless strawberry field landed cosmonauts - photorealistically sprayed by Case Maclaim - exploring an alien dimension like time travelers. But the true ruler of this scenery lurks in the background.
A gigantic chameleon dominates the panorama. Yet, this creature doesn't blend in; it is the abstraction. TAPE OVER designed the chameleon's body not organically, but as a complex, shimmering structure of geometric tape patterns. Its "skin" is a digital camouflage made of sharp lines and angles.
The entire work thrives on this massive style clash: The soft, almost tangible reality of the sprayed cosmonauts meets the hard, artificial geometry of the tape chameleon. It is a visual rush, a hallucination across 120 square meters, where the abstract fights the surreal and ultimately finds a shared, crazy harmony. We took the 70s vibe and taped that trip onto the wall.
