The Brief: A 200-square-meter entrance hall in Berlin needed to shed its functional sobriety and become a visual experience. The challenge was to develop a floor design that was not only aesthetically pleasing but could also withstand high foot traffic. The goal was to transform the ground into a piece of walkable rtt that defines the space and intuitively guides people through the hall.
The Concept: TAPE OVER created an abstract tapeart concept based on motion and direction. Instead of static patterns, we designed a dynamic flow of shapes and lines that follows the visitors' natural paths. The design leverages the psychology of wayfinding without feeling like a traditional signage system. We analyzed the movement in the room and tape that energy onto the floor, inviting guests to traverse the space playfully.
The Execution: On the 25x8 meter surface, we used various colored, highly resistant foils. Through complex layering, we created depth and texture that turn walking into an experience. The vibrant colors break the monotony of the floor and interact with the architecture. Technically, this demanded the highest precision to guarantee the durability of the installation under daily use. Every edge had to be perfect to prevent tripping hazards.
The Outcome: A massive piece of spatial design that completely alters the perception of the entrance hall. The installation injects movement into the static room and proves that art isn't bound to walls - it can be right under our feet. We saw a blank concrete canvas and taped that into a vibrant pathway.

Das Briefing: Eine 200 Quadratmeter große Eingangshalle in Berlin sollte ihre funktionale Nüchternheit verlieren und zu einem visuellen Erlebnis werden. Die Herausforderung bestand darin, eine Bodengestaltung zu entwickeln, die nicht nur ästhetisch ansprechend ist, sondern auch dem High Traffic an Besuchern standhält. Ziel war es, den Boden in ein Stück Begehbare Kunst zu verwandeln, das den Raum neu definiert.
Das Konzept:: TAPE OVER entwarf ein Design, das auf Dynamik und Richtung basiert. Statt statischer Muster wurde ein intuitives Wayfinding aus Formen und Linien geschaffen, das den natürlichen Laufwegen der Besucher folgt. Die Abstraktion der Formen dient als visueller Guide, ohne dabei wie ein klassisches Hinweisschild zu wirken. Es ist eine Einladung, die Raumwirkung spielerisch neu zu erleben.
Die Umsetzung: Auf der 25x8 Meter großen Fläche kamen verschiedenfarbige, extrem widerstandsfähige Folien zum Einsatz. Durch komplexes Layering entstanden Tiefe und Struktur, die das bloße Laufen zum Erlebnis machen. Das Farbkonzept bricht die Monotonie des grauen Bodens auf. Technisch war hier höchste Präzision gefragt, um die Haltbarkeit der Installation bei täglicher Nutzung zu garantieren. Jede Kante musste perfekt sitzen, um Stolperfallen zu vermeiden.
Das Ergebnis: Ein massives Piece Tapeart-Design, das die Wahrnehmung der Eingangshalle komplett verändert. Die Installation beweist, dass Kunst nicht an Wände gebunden ist, sondern uns buchstäblich zu Füßen liegen kann.
