THE IDEA: AN ICON ON GLASS
For the Arcotel, we realized a highly minimalist art project focusing on a historical icon: John F. Kennedy. Instead of traditional wall design on solid concrete, we used the large, square windows of the venue as our canvas. This tape art piece demonstrates exactly how to play with transparency and daylight. The windowpanes were transformed into an immersive installation that makes an impact from both the inside and the outside. We studied the famous profile and taped that unmistakable silhouette onto the glass.
THE DESIGN: MINIMALISM IN WHITE
True to our name, we completely forego brushes or paint in our adhesive tape art. For this portrait, we chose a radically reduced approach to urban art. The entire likeness consists exclusively of white tape in just two different widths. This purist technique of modern art uses the negative space and the translucent light of the glass to form the president's striking features - an impressive mural made entirely of straight lines. We carefully measured the tension between light and shadow and taped that contrast into existence.
THE TECHNIQUE: LESS IS MORE
It requires immense imagination and precision to distill the organic complexity of a human face down to a few geometric strips. This approach brings the authentic DIY spirit of our indoor street art into an elegant, professional environment. Every cut is deliberate, and the finished piece proves: you don't need a thousand colors to make a powerful statement.
DIE IDEE: IKONE IM FENSTER
Für das Arcotel haben wir ein absolut reduziertes Kunstprojekt realisiert, das eine historische Ikone in den Fokus rückt: John F. Kennedy. Anstatt klassischer Wandgestaltung auf Putz nutzten wir die großen quadratischen Fenster der Location als Leinwand. Dieses Tape Art Werk demonstriert perfekt, wie man mit Transparenz und Tageslicht spielen kann. Die Glasscheiben verwandelten sich so in eine leuchtende, raumgreifende Installation, die ihre Wirkung sowohl von innen als auch von außen entfaltet.
DAS DESIGN: MINIMALISMUS IN WEISS
Treu unserem Namen verzichten wir bei unserer Klebeband Kunst komplett auf Pinsel oder Farbe. Für dieses Porträt wählten wir einen radikal minimalistischen Ansatz der Urban Art. Das gesamte Bildnis besteht ausschließlich aus weißem Tape in nur zwei verschiedenen Breiten. Diese puristische Wanddesign-Technik nutzt den negativen Raum und das durchscheinende Licht des Glases, um die markanten Gesichtszüge des Präsidenten zu formen – ein eindrucksvolles Wandbild aus nichts als geraden Linien.
DIE TECHNIK: WENIGER IST MEHR
Es erfordert immenses Vorstellungsvermögen und Präzision, die organische Komplexität eines menschlichen Gesichts auf wenige geometrische Streifen herunterzubrechen. Diese Herangehensweise bringt den authentischen DIY-Geist unserer Street Art in ein elegantes, professionelles Umfeld. Jeder Schnitt sitzt exakt und das fertige Werk beweist: Man braucht nicht tausend Farben, um ein kraftvolles Statement zu setzen.
