Bristol calls, and the world answers. Upfest isn't just a festival; it is the Mecca of Urban Art. Hundreds of artists apply every year to paint a wall here. We went to prove that tapeart wouldn't drown in this ocean of spray cans but could swim with the best.
Our contribution: "BIG FISH" The title carries a double meaning. It stands for the massive motif we brought to the 11-meter wall, but also for the ambition to hold our ground as tape artists in the "shark tank" of the graffiti scene.
The artwork is a symbiosis of two worlds. We collaborated with graffiti artist Mr. Galle to merge the soft, organic gradients of spray paint with the hard, graphic lines of duct tape. An underwater world emerged that literally vibrates. The fish moves through an abstract current of geometric shapes and sprayed mist.
It was an experiment at the very heart of the scene: tape meets concrete and aerosol. The result was fresh, loud, and different. "BIG FISH" showed the festival crowd that Urban Art doesn't always have to come from a can, but can roll out—precise, sticky, and permanently impressive. We jumped into the deep end and taped that splash onto the wall.

Wir waren dort, um zu beweisen, dass Tape Art in diesem Ozean aus Sprühdosen nicht untergeht, sondern schwimmen kann.
Unser Beitrag: "Big Fish". Der Titel ist doppeldeutig. Er steht für das riesige Motiv, das wir auf die 11 Meter lange Wand brachten, aber auch für die Ambition, als Tape Artists im "Haifischbecken" der Graffiti-Szene zu bestehen.
Das Werk ist eine Symbiose aus zwei Welten. Wir kollaborierten mit dem Graffiti-Künstler Mr. Galle, um die weichen, organischen Verläufe der Spray Paint mit den harten, grafischen Linien des Duct Tapes zu verschmelzen. Es entstand eine Unterwasserwelt, die förmlich vibriert. Der Fisch bewegt sich durch eine abstrakte Strömung aus geometrischen Formen und gesprühtem Nebel.
Es war ein Experiment am offenen Herzen der Szene: Klebeband trifft auf Beton und Aerosol. Das Ergebnis war frisch, laut und anders. "BIG FISH" zeigte dem Festival-Publikum, dass Urban Art nicht immer aus der Dose kommen muss, sondern auch von der Rolle – präzise, klebend und dauerhaft beeindruckend.
