THE IDEA: CREATING TOGETHER
At the Mehr! Theater in Hamburg, we hosted a highly interactive art project. Instead of just presenting a finished piece of wall design, we passed our knowledge on through an exclusive hands-on workshop. As dedicated tape art artists, we showed the participants how to work entirely without paint or brushes. The focus was on bringing three-dimensional sculptures to life through pure adhesive tape art. We felt the creative energy of the group and taped that shared enthusiasm straight onto the objects.
THE DESIGN: SCULPTURES MADE OF TAPE
Instead of a classic flat canvas like a mural, various blank sculptures served as the foundation. The participants learned how to transfer the raw, edgy aesthetic of urban art onto curved, three-dimensional forms. By covering the objects, a completely new, tactile wall art experience emerged within the room. This collaborative form of an installation proves how versatile and accessible our craft truly is. We took the raw shapes of the figures and taped that geometric flow to perfection.
THE TECHNIQUE: HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE
The workshop offered an intensive, practical experience. Participants experienced the authentic DIY spirit of indoor street art firsthand. Creating genuine Tape Art together not only fosters creativity but also connects people in a very direct, manual way. It is fascinating to see how simple adhesive strips can be transformed into complex, vibrant artworks that completely redefine a space.
DIE IDEE: GEMEINSAM KREIEREN
Im Mehr! Theater in Hamburg haben wir ein interaktives Kunstprojekt der besonderen Art veranstaltet. Anstatt selbst eine fertige Wandgestaltung zu präsentieren, gaben wir unser Wissen in einem exklusiven Workshop weiter. Als Tape Art Künstler zeigten wir den Teilnehmern, wie man aus dem Nichts und völlig ohne Farbe oder Pinsel arbeitet. Der Fokus lag darauf, dreidimensionale Skulpturen durch reine Klebeband Kunst zum Leben zu erwecken und die grenzenlosen Möglichkeiten unseres Mediums zu demonstrieren.
DAS DESIGN: SKULPTUREN AUS TAPE
Anstelle eines klassischen, flachen Formats wie einem Wandbild, dienten verschiedene Skulpturen als Leinwand. Die Teilnehmer lernten, wie man die rohe, kantige Urban Art auf geschwungene, räumliche Formen überträgt. Durch das Bekleben der Objekte entstand ein völlig neues, haptisches Wanddesign mitten im Raum. Diese kollaborative Form der Installation beweist eindrucksvoll, wie wandelbar und zugänglich unser Handwerk ist.
